Meeting of partners within the Erasmus+ DIGITRANS project in Balti
The third working meeting of the Erasmus+ DIGITRANS project team took place on June 19-21, hosted by the State University „Alecu Russo” in Balti. Held in an innovative environment – the „SMART Café” area of the NORTEK Innovation and Technology Transfer Center, the event brought together all project partners to discuss progress and future working strategies.
The official opening of the event was marked by keynote speeches. Anatolijs Zabašta, project manager, emphasized the importance of international collaboration in the context of digital transformation. Prof. Dr. Valentina PRIȚCAN, Vice-Rector for Scientific Activity and International Relations of the host University, welcomed the participants, highlighting the key role of universities in promoting innovation and digital technologies. Claudia MELINTE, coordinator of the Erasmus+ National Office in Moldova, reiterated the relevance of Easmus+ projects for capacity building of universities, emphasizing the importance of the DIGITRANS project in ensuring the quality of training of automotive engineers.
The agenda of the event was packed with activities essential for the progress and success of the DIGITRANS project. Working sessions and management meetings and facilitated the exchange of knowledge and best practices among participants. The latest project results were presented and discussed and new opportunities for collaboration were identified.
Members of the host university introduced the project team to the NORTEK Innovation and Technology Transfer Center, which has a special role in the development of research, innovation and technology transfer in the Northern Development Region. The purpose of the Center is to provide training programs for pupils, students, collaborators and graduates of USARB, entrepreneurs, representatives of industry and small and medium-sized businesses, as well as for all those interested in research and innovation.
During the meeting, various topics were addressed, such as the implementation of dual degree programs; the development of digital competences; the implementation of innovative solutions in education and business; the challenges and opportunities brought by digitalization in various sectors.
A highlight of the meeting was the visit to the project partner, the German company DRÄXLMAIER. This was a unique opportunity to observe the practical application of the technologies and solutions developed within the DIGITRANS project. DRÄXLMAIER, a leader in the automotive industry, demonstrated how the implementation of digital technologies can optimize production processes and increase operational efficiency. Attendees had the opportunity to discuss with experts and see first-hand the positive impact of digital transformation in the manufacturing industry.
The DIGITRANS project meeting at the State University „Alecu Russo” in Balti was a remarkable success. The event contributed significantly to advancing digital transformation initiatives and promoting innovation in various fields.
