Meeting and Workshop as Part of the DIGITRANS Project at Riga Technical University
From September 11-13, 2024, Riga Technical University hosted the fourth meeting and a workshop as part of the DIGITRANS project, marking substantial progress in the „Digital Transformation of the Educational Process in Higher Education Institutions in Ukraine and Moldova for Sustainable Engagement with Enterprises.” Representatives from partner institutions in Ukraine, Moldova, including the Technical University of Moldova, advocated for further strengthening collaboration and advancing the project to a new stage of building the capacity of faculty members to use electronic resources, such as remote laboratories, in the teaching process.
A central element of the DIGITRANS project is the efficient integration of digital technologies into the teaching and learning process. During this training, faculty members from universities in Moldova and Ukraine had the opportunity to learn how to use online platforms to create courses and laboratory activities. The use of digital resources and innovative teaching methods will facilitate access to quality education, improve the student learning experience, and provide graduates with solid preparation for current labor market challenges.
The training was attended by representatives from Chernihiv National Technical University (Ukraine), Kharkiv National University of Automobile and Roads (Ukraine), Lutsk National Technical University (Ukraine), Technical University of Moldova, „Alecu Russo” State University of Bălți, and „B. P. Hasdeu” State University of Cahul.
In addition to fruitful discussions and presentations, participants had the opportunity to learn from the digitalization experience of higher education institutions in Riga, familiarizing themselves with concrete examples of successful digital integration. These valuable experiences will contribute to shaping future strategies and optimizing the implementation of the DIGITRANS project.
