Technical University of Moldova Staff Participate in International Training Mobility at Tor Vergata University of Rome

Academic staff from Technical University of Moldova – Olga Harea, Eugeniu Braguța, and Dumitru Ceban – participated in an international training mobility hosted by University of Rome Tor Vergata on 10–14 November 2025 within the ISDEGO project (WP3, WP5).

The mobility programme provided an in-depth overview of internationalization practices, sustainable urban mobility, and digital innovation in transport systems. UTM participants engaged in lectures, discussions, and technical visits covering topics such as Erasmus+ cooperation, smart city development, traffic modelling using PTV Visum, and data-driven urban planning. A highlight of the programme was the technical visit to the Port of Civitavecchia and Metro C system, offering practical insights into large-scale transport infrastructure and logistics.

Through this mobility, UTM staff strengthened their competencies in sustainable transport, digital tools, and innovative teaching approaches. The knowledge gained will contribute to the development of modernized curricula and the implementation of practical learning environments, including the Sustainable Urban Transport Laboratory (SUTLab).

UTM will integrate the acquired knowledge into teaching and research activities, while continuing collaboration with international partners to promote sustainable urban mobility and smart city solutions.

Technical University of Moldova Participates in International Teaching Mobility on Urban Mobility in Brașov

Teaching staff from Technical University of Moldova actively participated in an international teaching mobility hosted by Transilvania University of Brasov on 10–14 November 2025, within the framework of the ISDEGO project (WP5).

The Moldovan delegation included academic staff members Alioa Lîsîi, Nina Garștea, and Igor Rotaru, who took part in specialized training sessions focused on urban mobility and transport systems analysis. The sessions were delivered by professors from the host institution, including Stelian Tarulescu and Dinu Covaciu, covering topics such as the evaluation of urban mobility scenarios in freight transportation and traffic flow simulation using VISSIM and VISUM (PTV) software.

The training took place at the N Building of Transilvania University of Brașov and was conducted according to the established work agenda. Participants from Moldova engaged in interactive discussions and practical sessions, exchanging expertise with colleagues from Romania and other partner institutions from Ukraine.

This mobility contributed to strengthening the academic and professional capacities of the Moldovan teaching staff, particularly in the fields of freight mobility in urban areas and road traffic simulation. The knowledge and skills acquired during the sessions will further support the development of modernized curricula and teaching approaches at the Technical University of Moldova.
